Engineering course in horticulture and landscape at the Institut Agro Rennes-Angers

The EPHor research unit contributes to teaching in the engineering courses of the Institut Agro Rennes-Angers in horticulture and landscape.

Undergraduate level

The members of the EPHor research unit are involved in the undergraduate level courses in the disciplines of cartography, topography, geology, soil sciences, hydraulics, mechanics, automation, thermics, electricity, energetics, and bioclimatology.

Master level

The team is particularly involved in 3 specializations

  • Engineering of Horticultural Production and Products (I2PH) (horticulture speciality),
  • Engineering of Vegetated Urban Spaces (IEVU) (horticulture and landscape specialities),
  • Landscape: Operationality and Project (POP) (landscape speciality).

International

The research unit is involved in the programs:

  • ARFAGRI, University Mobility and Agroecology Program (PUMA) for the construction and consolidation of bilateral cooperation between Argentina and France, as well as university partnerships between agronomy, agribusiness and veterinary schools in both countries,
  • Erasmus+ program "Urban Green Train" which aims to encourage pioneering initiatives of entrepreneurship in urban agriculture. The unit appears as a stakeholder of Agreenium, in collaboration with the University of Bologna, Horticity, Mammut Film, STePS, VEGEPOLYS VALLEY, RUAF foundation, Fachhochschule Südwestfalen, Hei-tro gmhb and Grow thePlanet.

VAAME Doctoral School

The EPHor research unit is a member of the VAAME doctoral school (of which a member of the unit is deputy director), which manages doctoral students in the fields of plants, animals, food, the sea and the environment.
The VAAME doctoral school also organizes annual scientific days during which doctoral students present their work. It also regularly organizes job and company forums. Each year, several doctoral contracts are offered.
